I think it's worth watching, possibly especially if you've seen the original, if only to say, "I see what you did there."
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Not all of it. A few episodes. Possibly enough to compare.
It is OK, if highly flawed as a mini-series. I understand that they wanted to use it as the basis for a continuing series, and cannot imagine how the hell that would work. Given the ending, I don't see how they keep on.
New Who:
Just half way through but, I love that he saved the day with...a cookie!
And, Daleks in designer colors. Woot!
Doctor Who (US): Hate the new theme and credits. Liking Matt Smith so far - he seems agreeably loony, which is apropos for the Doctor.
Also, "Your Scottish - fry me something."
Just tonight, I was thinking that the new credits are just too SG-1. Someone up thread called the scene something like a cosmic colonoscopy. Totally agree.
Who: not loving this one so much, and not the skittles rainbow of Daleks. There was very odd editing that threw me and I wasn't feeling the Doctor's reaction to the Daleks or his subsequent actions. The hate seemed to still be there, but watered down and petulant and childish.
ION WOULD YOU LIKE SOME TEA?!!!!

Heh. Good episode. I like Amy. It will be interesting having a companion that's somewhat less than stable. I like the actress a lot (she reminds me a little of Emily Watson) - it's looks like she may end up being very funny, but in a completely different way from Catherine Tate.
Matt Smith has pretty much won me over. I'm looking forward to this season now.
Also, I love the Steampunk Tardis (as someone mentioned upthread as well, I think).
Love the new TARDIS-steampunk indeed!
Not sold on the new Doctor. He lacks the energy and "presence" of Eccleston and Tennant. He almost seemed to be sleepwalking compared to them.
