'Out Of Gas'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Punishingly Intricate

(Which is no doubt why he seemed so familiar.)

OMG, yes!!! It bothered me because he did not seem sexy AT ALL to me. I was all, "Really, Tosh? Him?"

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Er, what was it?

It drove her to pr0n. Shocking.

Totally! And yes, lisah, on the not terribly sexy. But very very nice!

And then I watched the Dr. Who episode with all the 1913 schoolboys. I had a Great-War-a-licious weekend.

Okay, I may just not have had all that much to say about the episode. Oh! Except! What, Torchwood 19mumble couldn't have kept him from going back to the front? Like, a "top secret but crucial service to our country" kind of discharge? That sucks!

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I would like to see the show do more with the time travel plots. Though I thought this one was good, and the story was touching, it was "Out of Time" (Torchwood team member falls in love with someone from the past) plus "Captain Jack Harkness" (Torchwood team member must do their duty and leave a loved one behind).

Maybe a time travel plot where nobody falls in love at all? Nah, that just wouldn't be Torchwood.

Art Crawl!!!

I hope that they do more with it too -- that truncated "extra" that talked about the time travel love stories makes me hope that they will.

I thought that was a cardinal rule of time travel in general - you will meet your one great love. Or one of your great loves. In any case, you will have to leave him or her behind. Or it, if we're in sci-fi mode.

Anyway, it's why I hesitate to try it. Who needs that kind of heart break?
