A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I thought this was a very buffista Twitter battle. Neil Patrick Harris vs. John Barrowman for Gay of the Decade. [link]
If you find Barrowman (Team_Barrowman) on Twitter, there are some really cute pictures of him with his dogs. It looks like JB didn't really get Twitter before but is now having fun with it.
That was so much fun to watch happening - this tweet from NPH pretty much says it all:

Oh, may have been in the white font, but I loved that he called Donna his best friend, and so offhandedly.
I LOVED that!
Looks like I missed a bunch of the showouts (Frame went right past me and I never recognize Jessica Hynes on DW, though I got who the character was supposed to be).
Hope the teamed-up (as opposed to married-up) Martha Jones & Mickey means they'll be in the next iteration of Torchwood. Though that will make three coupled-up folks on the team if Gwen is back.
I fall in the like it camp, for a lot of reasons. Yes, there were weaknesses, but a lot of the things that pinged many so badly didn't really get to me. The ranting didn't strike me so much as being anger at Wilf or anger with respect to the inevitable, but more a recognition of the irony of the situation. That this person he loves so much and who loves him so much would ultimately be the instrument of his death (and given how much speculation there was that Wilf and his gun would take out the Doctor, it did turn out to be true, just not in the obvious ways). That whole speech was to me, just full of all the love and the recognition that Wilf is a better person than he is and that the "little" person was ultimately the bigger person.
And the "I don't want to go," at the end to me wasn't whiny or self-indulgent-- just very, very human to me, which again speaks to the fact that Ten has always been the most human & humane of the incarnations. After flirting with the Master-like madness and megalomania at the end of "Waters of Mars" to me it was very poignant and had a feeling of completeness about it to see him react in such a very human way.
Loved that he referred to Donna has his best friend so unreservedly. Giggled at Captain Jack and yes, I recognized Frame and had a chuckle over that and while the Rose scene had a charm about it, with its timing, Donna's wedding and especially seeing Joan's great-granddaughter were the most poignant and special to me.
Upon re-watch, I am much more fondly disposed toward the finale. Sometimes the buildup to the Big Moments tends to put me off the result easily.
Did anyone else catch that it was Midshipman Frame, from "Voyage of the Damned," that the Doctor hooked Jack up with?
That's great. I only recognized him from Being Human.
I do kind of wish they had better delineated the Master's fate. Granted, that means he can come back again (and not necessarily as John Simm (sp?)), but I thought his final act deserved a bit of a follow-through, one way or the other, especially since he turned out to be a monster BECAUSE of the Time Lords.

I recognized him, but couldn't have given you his name with a gun to my head.
Also, Mickey looked HAWT with the beard.
