I liked the character and never really grew to hate him, but he was more interesting in the first season.
I think one of my favorite moments from BSG was Lee's defense of Baltar from the witness stand - that was some really impressive acting mojo he had going on, and it was an unexpected turn for me in terms of how they were going to resolve that trial.
I miss BSG.

We watched 33 the other day and I was shocked at how good it was. I miss early BSG. When Starbuck was awesome and Lee was a pilot. Although the trial was good.

I wasn't as gung-ho as many watchers here, but the finale cured me of any lingering fondness. I'm not sure I can watch the stuff I'd previously enjoyed without being mad.

I miss early BSG.
It did get mired in its own mythos, although I liked most of the finale. I think if they'd stuck with 13 episodes per season, it would have raised the average quality enormously. Come to think of it, there are still probably 4 or 5 episodes I've never watched in full, because I saw enough to know they were dreadful.
But I watched the Caprica pilot on Hulu the other night and was rather impressed overall. I particularly liked the fact that the Cylon religion is literally the belief system of a sulky, too-smart-for-her-own-good teenager.
And I talked to a friend tonight who's got 4 episodes of Galactica left to watch. Apparently he predicted that Dualla was going to die about a second before she shot herself (he didn't expect his prediction to come true quite that quickly). So he was pleased that he finally understands how the show works.
I should probably give The Plan a try, because everyone hating it might mean that I'll find it delightful in some inexplicable way. I don't try to be contrary; it just works out that way.

Ahahahaha. I get this. It's why I don't regret seeing it even though it was SO FUCKING POINTLESS. I don't blame Jane E entirely because I'm sure she was given the broad outlines by RDM, but who seriously thought that 2 hours of exposition on plot points we already knew would be fun to watch???
