Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Thanks for the link to the PD panel, sumi! What a fun report. The cast and crew sound like they had a fun time with the panel.

8:19 p.m.: Our first singing bait! Chi and Kristin share this number - Kristin: "I love you Chi! You rock my world! You're very tall! I like to tell him he needs to clip his nosehairs!" Chi: "I love you too! You're short and I can eat crackers off of the top of your head!"

Heee! Seriously, they are all SO CUTE. I feel like I shouldn't be calling Chi McBride "cute" (Emerson would be so horrified) but still! Cuteness galore!

Aren't they adorable? The soundtrack album should be fun.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Remember, I haven't seen all of season two, yet, so there could be some personal dynamics I'm not caught up on yet (even peeking at the whitefont.)

I've only seen the eps that have aired on BBC America. So I'm a few eps ahead of you and a few eps behind some.

While Rhys is aware of Jack/Gwen, there hasn't been anything overt. Yeah, sexual tension between self and a co-worker that you're working with constantly, cause for concern. But Rhys's anger in S1 was directed more at "That job is taking over your life and there's no room for me" and not so much at "You and the boss want to get horizontal (or innovative, or bordering on the avant garde)."

I don't even know that it's sexual tension, rather than "damn, your boss is really hot, and you spend a lot of time away from me, with him"

I don't think it's just that the boss is hot. When Rhys followed Gwen, he saw her getting quite chummy with Jack. Very comfortable in a way you tend to get only with someone you're intimate with (not necessarily in a sexual way, but with their life.)

Ann, that's a ferret.

I don't think the hot boss entered into it so much. Rhys was more upset at dinner for one and going to be alone (regardless of whether sleep or something else was involved). Even a nice dinner out got interrupted for Gwen's job, and she was gone for hours. With no explanation except, "It's work."

So Rhys knowing the situation could be good for the relationship. He can at least have an idea of "Gotta go to work" means.

Although isn't that a chronic complaint of SOs of law enforcement, the odd hours and sudden calls? He should have had an idea when he went into the relationship.

oh, yes, this too. Or first, really. And, it didn't hurt/help that he's hot.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I've caught up on TW over the weekend, and I just wanted to say that I LOOOOVE Rhys. Whenever he shows up on my screen, I want to reach into the screen and hug him, for being so sweet and decent and generally awesome. I have total warm and fuzzy feeling toward the guy, resembling the one I used to have for Chief Tyrol back in seasons 1-2. Seriously, the writers better not hurt him! Because I will be VERY CROSS if they do!

I find Jack/Gwen all kinds of problematic (even though Barrowman and Myles do have good chemistry together) but (spoilers for 2x09) I can live with the way that played out in "Something Borrowed". Their feelings have never quite felt like something solid and lasting to me -- it was a rash infatuation that felt like love on Gwen's part, and a stand-in for all Jack loves about humanity from his. I think they acknowledged that in the wedding episode, where both have grown up enough to now look back on it with some regret and wistfulness, but also with a measure of relief for having put it behind them without jeopardizing their friendship. I liked that. I liked that a lot.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Yes, it is, but I imagine it was a bit more irritating for Rhys than your average law-enforcement widow/er because there was never any explanation at all.

I mean, I imagine that even your most over-worked homicide detective, receiving a call in the middle of dinner, will say "Sorry, ten people slaughtered at a Dunkin' Donuts, gotta run." Whereas all Gwen could say (without lying) was: "I'm out. Don't wait up."

Which I know would bug the fuck out of me. Multiple homicides at a bakery you go "Well, shit. Go, then, I can understand." "Gotta run" with no further detail you go "Fuck you, then. I'ma call an old girlfriend, get me a booty call."

Vonnie, you are evil. I want to read that so bad, but I'm caught up enough where I'll actually remember whatever it is by the time I get to the episode (this weekend, I hope!) By the time you folks with BBCA get to the blackfont, I have to skim quickly (and I try very hard to do that, my success is iffy), so I don't retain too much of what I catch. I'm at the point where my willpower is getting tested to the extreme, both white and blackfont. ::cries:: However, I've ahemmed through 2.07 so far with plans to get the last three shortly. I'm going to have me a TW orgy this weekend. ::brightens::
