I don't give half a hump if you're innocent or not. So where does that put you?

Book ,'Objects In Space'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Vonnie, you are evil. I want to read that so bad, but I'm caught up enough where I'll actually remember whatever it is by the time I get to the episode (this weekend, I hope!) By the time you folks with BBCA get to the blackfont, I have to skim quickly (and I try very hard to do that, my success is iffy), so I don't retain too much of what I catch. I'm at the point where my willpower is getting tested to the extreme, both white and blackfont. ::cries:: However, I've ahemmed through 2.07 so far with plans to get the last three shortly. I'm going to have me a TW orgy this weekend. ::brightens::

Punishingly Intricate

I mean, I imagine that even your most over-worked homicide detective, receiving a call in the middle of dinner, will say "Sorry, ten people slaughtered at a Dunkin' Donuts, gotta run." Whereas all Gwen could say (without lying) was: "I'm out. Don't wait up."

Yeah, I think that's just bad writing.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Yeah, I think that's just bad writing.

That, too. I mean, Christ Gwen...make something up!

"Oh, sorry, Rhys. Some lunatic just unleashed a horde of starving rabid Jack Russell terriers downtown. Ninety-four people dead. Gotta jet."

"Oh, absolutely, Gwen! I'll keep your dinner warm in the oven."

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Yeah, but he'd probably start getting suspicious when these big disasters that she made up don't make the papers.

Torchwood can't make up a fake paper? They don't have Photoshop or something?

"Oi, Gwen...there's a picture of you arresting that clown who killed all those people with the rapid-fire popcorn machine! It looks like you were wearing the same outfit as when we took that vacation in the Carribbean.

Come to think of it...why are you wearing a bikini and sunglasses to work? And should you be drinking something with an umbrella in it while on duty?"

Ann, that's a ferret.

Sometimes law enforcement does involve, "I gotta go away, can't explain why or even where." Even in her old job, Gwen couldn't have said, "I'm going to be working long hours preparing a raid on a big drug ring operating on the wharf." Just the long hours part.

Though it would have helped if Gwen had explained to Rhys up front that her new job involved even more hush-hush stuff than the old job did.

Will nobody help a sister out and describe the last couple of minutes of this past week's (BBCA broadcast) TW? My dvr cut it off. Maybe it was just a fade out?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Will nobody help a sister out and describe the last couple of minutes of this past week's (BBCA broadcast) TW? My dvr cut it off. Maybe it was just a fade out?

Owen talks the girl out of committing suicide, using the rock (which turns out to be a benign message from alien cultures trying to make contact) to illustrate that there's more out there than we know, or some such. It was less trite than that, really. One of Owen's finer moments. Then he sits down with Tosh for a while, just talking.
