John Barrowman on further Torchwood (from The Doctor Who News Page):
John Barrowman has been sitting in for Elaine Paige on her Sunday afternoon BBC Radio 2 show. He read out an e-mail asking if he knew if Torchwood was coming back or not. He said that they were currently 'in negotiations' and that he hoped Torchwood would be back some time in the future.

SyFy (or whatever its called these days) is showing the original V miniseries this afternoon for those who want to compare it with the new series.

I don't think so, but I don't think that we've seen her in a situation where she would use one.
I know that it's hardly authoritative, but it seems from Criminal Minds that you don't have to be able to carry to be an agent. From sources that aren't actually another TV show (but are the internet) as a tech expert in the employ of the bureau she may not even be an agent. But I'm sure she is, for TV shorthand reasons. No disrespect to tech experts, but I hope she has all the credentials in the world.
