I'm sorry. You were going to ask me to choose, right? Did you want to finish?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

For Fringe fans, you should immediately go to the Fringe page on Fox on Demand and watch the Deep in the Lab clips. Walter, musing on random things as he putters around the lab.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Defying Gravity: It's good to have long term plans for your show, but I also think in this day and age of ephemery it's practical to have a good 13 episode mini arc. Doesn't sound like they were remotely going there. Everything sounded like the payoff was in the long haul. I think the show needed more quick wins--I got nothing against a long arc, but there have to be shorter, quicker beats in the story too.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Walter is very much the saving grace of Fringe. "Science should be fun!"

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I have one thing that has been bothering me about Fringe. It's Astrid. I love her and her raport with Walter, but wasn't she introduced as Olivia's assistant? She seems to have no problem with all the medical, scientific stuff. Where the hell did she get her mad skillz?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I think that they picked her to work with Walter because of her science background.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yes, I remember something being said about her science degree(s). That said, I wish she'd get to go on investigations once in a while, and carry a gun, et cetera, because she certainly has the capability to do it.

I feel like we need an Astrid-centric episode or two. We know so little about her other than that she's obviously awesome.

John Barrowman on further Torchwood (from The Doctor Who News Page):

John Barrowman has been sitting in for Elaine Paige on her Sunday afternoon BBC Radio 2 show. He read out an e-mail asking if he knew if Torchwood was coming back or not. He said that they were currently 'in negotiations' and that he hoped Torchwood would be back some time in the future.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset
