Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Caught up on last week's Flash Forward - so the LHC caused the blackout? That's less sinister than I was hoping for.

I bought the Mark/Olivia stuff. Good for her for following through and deciding not to be an enabler this time around.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Having just re-read The Shining, I saw shades of Jack and Wendy in Mark and Olivia.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Kate still bothers me in Sanctuary, but not as much as the crappy flying effects did. Do they spend so much on CGI that they have no SFX budget left over? He looked so awful in every shot.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Defying Gravity, the creator is interviewed about where the series would have gone in the future:

I just rewatched “The Horror of Fang Rock”, a Doctor Who serial from 1977. It’s nice to be reminded how awesome Leela was.

“Enjoy your death, as I have enjoyed killing you!”

I so wish Leela could have met Sarah Jane. Leela even got to go to Gallifrey, and Sarah Jane didn't.

For Fringe fans, you should immediately go to the Fringe page on Fox on Demand and watch the Deep in the Lab clips. Walter, musing on random things as he putters around the lab.

Defying Gravity: It's good to have long term plans for your show, but I also think in this day and age of ephemery it's practical to have a good 13 episode mini arc. Doesn't sound like they were remotely going there. Everything sounded like the payoff was in the long haul. I think the show needed more quick wins--I got nothing against a long arc, but there have to be shorter, quicker beats in the story too.

Walter is very much the saving grace of Fringe. "Science should be fun!"
