You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I've got a little bit extra confused sauce over why they seem to have forgotten the best parts of Henry and the Big Guy's relationship that was so poignantly played out at the end of last season. I don't particularly look for slash but I thought that was nicely handled.

Didn't Ryan Robbins get freaked out by Henry/Bigfoot slashers at conventions? Though frankly, how he could have failed to notice that vibe between the characters while Heyerdahl was caressing his cheek and telling him they'd go through the journey together escapes me...

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I agree, Matt. I thought there wasn't an implication but pretty serious specific interactions that made me think there was a relationship between the two.

Air crashes should just be near airports, since the planes would probably be on autopilot, wouldn't they? And if they carried forward no no-fly zone, that's bad writing.

National Airport is pretty close to the city.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Cold be worse, the pilots could be playing on their laptops and miss a whole city...

Man, the later seasons of X-Files make me forget just how fun that show was in its prime. SciFi just aired the "Bad Blood" episode with the Rashomon treatment of Mulder & Scully's investigation of vampire killings in Texas, and reminded me why it used to be appointment telivision for me. Complete with Luke Wilson wearing buck teeth and Mulder waking up from a drugged stupor singing the theme song from Shaft.

And Scully in the middle of an autopsy going, "Wow, I really want a pizza." (Paraphrased) I use to get together with a bunch of friends to watch the show. It was really good the first 5 or so years.

Our wings are not tired.

It has been long enough that I am ready for X-Files rewatch. I never watched the last seasons. That should probably stay the case.

I told the boys that the straying pilots were playing WoW and they totally believed me.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I didn't seen any of the last season, but Season 8 had some gems. "Redrum" with Joe Morton was an excellent episode. I bailed on the show soon after that episode.

I never watched the X Files. By the time I got hip, they were in the middle of the "gross season" as my friend called it. I saw two eps and said "no thanks", despite many attempts to convince me otherwise. I did see a couple of eps randomly (like the one with the crazy suburban monster from the HomeOwner's Association)

My favorite episodes were often the fun ones: "Jose Chung", "Post-Modern Prometheus", "Bad Blood", "X-Cops", "Arcadia".
