Oh, smacked in the noggin with a 2x4 wrapped in velvet. Yeah, that's what it felt like.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Yeah it was pretty cool. I'm usually very careful about what music I will play for them but I figured wtf it's my birthday and I want to hear it. When that song came on Mom said, "I know I shouldn't like this but I really do."

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Happy Laga day!

So, Mum and Dad were here for the weekend, and now they're off to other parts of Thailand on their package trip. It was awesome to see them!

In less awesome news, the battery of my MacBook seems to be expiring. WTF? I think I have fried it.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Happy b-day, Laga!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm watching a Just Shoot Me marathon on TVLand. My sleep schedule has gotten all screwed up this weekend. But this is a fun show.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

well Dad didn't say anything but Mom loved it!
Wow, that is so unlike your Dad too.
Mom said, "I know I shouldn't like this but I really do."
Spooky, I had similar sentiment on that song. It really does rock.

So is it me, or in Angel season 5, does every episode involve someeone getting thrown through Angels office window??? You'd think they'd construct a solid wall or something. I will say, there is some rather good fight choreography in this series!

Omnis, you have seen Season 5 before, right?

Because watching Smile Time, and then watching A Hole In The World (the subsequent episode)...

...well, that is some Damn Fine Television, right there. But I'll say no more.

Here's a tidbit from the conversation at dinner with my parents and some family friends this weekend -

Random chatter about the food

Mum leans over and pokes my belly

Mum "That's disgusting Karen, will you ever lose some weight?"

everyone looks at Mum agog

Me "Mum, do you want to shut up now?"

Mum "I'm just saying I've never seen you that fat before. It's disgusting."

Me continues to be agog

DH "Seriously, (Jars' mum), you should probably shut up now"

Everyone returns to eating their dinner, eyes down, presumably to avoid looking at me eviscerating my mother

So anyway, what the hell is wrong with people? And by 'people' I mean my mother.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

open mouth staring across the pond

I'm sorry - my brain shut off at the horror. You were saying that your mom caressed your face and told you how beautiful you are, right?
