I just started it. Here's hoping River's "[edited because I am a dumbass] on the brain" is not a persistent metaphor.
I forgot how much I like Brust. Honestly kind of forgot he existed and it has been kind of surreal reviewing titles and covers and realizing I must have devoured half his library when I was somewhere between 16-21 and then I just went on to my next author.
At some point a decade or two ago I just got hopelessly confused about which Brust titles I had read and which I hadn't and just kind of hit pause on him. Still telling myself I will figure it out someday and resume.
I'm loving the firefly book so far
Especially Page 42
No spoilers I'm only on page 110 but I'm just wondering if we know whether anyone has adapted the plot of this Brust novel into a Mission for the Firefly board game. I think it could be a lot of fun.
The Expanse s6e6 had a nice Firefly style crew-gathered-at-the-dining-table scene.
I was watching a YouTube video of some scientist-types in a deep-sea vehicle. They cane across some fancy cephalopods and kept saying, "shiny ... shiny". sigh ...
Over the years Firefly reactors are keeping the show flying.
On YouTube is a film student who five months ago was convinced to watch and react to Firefly and Serenity. It appears she hit every major emotional indicator including "Why did they cancel this???"
Today is the 20th anniversary of the theatrical release of Serenity in the U.S.
They just posted this on the channel for Nathan and Alan's podcast and tagged all of the cast except Adam and Summer.
