I kissed him, and I told him that I loved him. And I killed him.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I spent the morning at the dentist and the afternoon in urgent care.

I think I was channeling ita or something.

I spent *plenty* of money today--first at Target (where I'm not even sure what I bought, other than a brita pitcher...just random crap, honestly! But $75 worth!) and then at Home Depot (where, I SWEAR paint did not used to be that expensive--$23 a gallon? Damn! $125, and that's only cause they messed up my one paint and gave it to me for $5!)

But I have painted two and a half walls of my new apartment! Yay! The one wall is way more yellow and less orange than I thought it would be, but I'll survive. And the orange is more orange and less brown than I thought it would be. But again, it'll do. Together, they make the apartment so much warmer!

Tomorrow, to see if the green and blue I bought for the bedrooms are also Not At All what they looked like on the paint sample...

Lee, that doesn't sound good.

Your dreamcook amuses me. It was doing fine with the cherries bit, but beyond that...

I know! In the dream, I was appalled. But still doing it!

Jen, did you IKEA? Whenever I go to White Marsh, that's usually the point.

eta: meara, I still can't believe you're on the other coast. I'm happy for you, but still so weird! Your parties were the first I'd attended of someone I'd met off the internets!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Don't channel ita unless your life is being threatened.

today

coffee shop made cookies went down town to the art walk came home walked up the street to a party.

Which sounds fun. and it was. but not as much fun as it could have been . because Matt had icky dental stuff done yesterday - and today he just feel bad. It is not normal for him t be a couch potato ,and it is way worse to see him fall asleep every time he sits down . I want him to be better tomorrow

It was less than ideal, but I'm fine now. I knew I probably just had a bad (but not ita level) migraine, but then I got dizzy and my nose was bleeding and stuff, so I decided to go in.

I am fairly nicely drugged though.

Dizzy, migraine, AND nosebleed? Good lord, Lee, don't fall apart on us!! Are you perhaps past due for some routine maintenance? Maybe a vacation?

I'm happy for you, but still so weird! Your parties were the first I'd attended of someone I'd met off the internets!

Aww! Yeah, it's still not quite real for ME, either! And this new apartment, I was thinking "this will be so nice for parties...Oh my god, I need to meet new people so I know enough people to INVITE to parties!"

Fall has arrived. the furnances in the building kicked on this morning, but not after a too cold in here night (mac came to my bed at 5 "it's cold". I got the comforters back on both beds today and tonight I look forward to being toasty. I am still not convinced that we won't have another warm day though, still I bagged up the first load of summer clothes into the space bags.

non-sequitor - I've freecycled 2 stereo components and a board game this week, and sold 2 books on Amazon. YAY! go team de-clutter.

Lee - feel better.

I haven't turned on the heat yet. But it is close. Barely got up to 70 with the lights on this evening. It dropped to 62 this morning.

And I don't know if the pilot is lit. I've never used the heater in the new unit. It was put in in May or so.

well, we have no control - heat comes on when the bidling turns it on - having to do with some city law about temp failing below something and the date being past something - anyway - it cycles on and off in these ancient steam furnances and it gets cold (no insulation in the exterior walls - none) then too hot, and dry and... ahhh winter.

I like the vacation idea. They couldn't find anything really wrong with me , which was good.
