Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I will accept homemade as long as it's not a recipe you can make yourself.

Eh, nothing. I am not of the cult cookie people.

I have plans after 6. I think it's unlikely this headache will go away before 6. If I still have this headache at 6 I need to go to the ER. Do I tell the person I have (unspecified) plans with this? Or do I take him to dinner and then tell him?

Him and I both know if I go to the ER when he's even slightly available, I'm going with him. I just don't want him to be thinking that our plans are probably hospital again. I feel so boring.

I guess what I should do is eat and sleep and other things that minimise the headache as much as possible, and deal with 6 when 6 is closer.

Always Anti-fascist!

Love Berger cookies. Not sure if we have local cookies here.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I guess what I should do is eat and sleep and other things that minimise the headache as much as possible, and deal with 6 when 6 is closer.

I think this is a wise plan. So, I hope you're napping right now.

And, curse you people. Now I really want cookies. I love cookies.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I went into a bakery in Squirrel Hill once and walked out with a cookie that was sort of like a brownie baked inside a cookie and nearly died from the tastiness. Can't remember the bakery or the name of the cookie.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Man, I am absolutely LOVING Dirty Sexy Money. So fun and over the top!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm quite familiar with the Anna's Ginger Thins, but have never run into the Lemon Thins, which would probably be a great hit with me provided they're also cow-free.

Cult cookies from the Boston-Cambridge area: the Dancing Deer cookies, especially the Molasses Ginger and my not-so-secret vice, the Cherry Almond Ginger Chews which are pretty much minor occasions of sin in cookie form.

Unfortunately most premium cookies are cow-intensive, so when I come across some that aren't, I latch onto them with fervor. (Sadly, most vegan cookies tend to be whole wheat and avoid sugar like the plague.)

That was an awesome episode of SNL.
I'm pretty sure it's also the one with Sinead doing the most awesome version of "Last Day of Our Acquaintance." Because the first time it aired, the fire alarm went off in my dorm during that and I was most vexed. (It was an old building with crap wiring and there were constant false alarms.) Then when they reran it, something else happened, I can't remember what. So when I finally got to see the whole damn thing I recorded the Twin Peaks bit and the "Last Day..." performance.

Which reminds me that now I need to transfer the song to MP3..

My family's cult cookies are Mother's Cookies, from Oakland. I was particularly fond of the Flakey Flix and am devastated that they've stopped making them. Sigh. When I was in IL I discovered that Matt's Chocolate Chip cookies are also very good indeed. When my friend Niels was still out there he'd send me a couple of bags of them for Christmas.

I had these amazing pecan cookies from Harris Teeter when I visited VA last. I doubt that counts, but they were made in their bakery, so not a national brand or anything. Man they were good. Too good.

Yummy dinner + wine + cappuccino + tiramisu have been consumed.

In sad news, there is one less froggy living in my garden now. I won't go into details, but I am quite sad about (and, sadly, responsible for) his loss. Poor guy. I love my little frog families.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

When I was in IL I discovered that Matt's Chocolate Chip cookies are also very good indeed.

I just discovered these recently when I realized a focus day was really going to suck and that the crew would need treats. They are tasty.

Because books.

Not a cookie, but the all-butter poundcakes from Well-Bred Loaf are a huge favorite of mine. Thick, individual slices, with the top all crusty and sweet ... Yum. I don't know if they're around anymore, but you used to be able to get them at any deli in NYC.
