Things are somewhat better on that front now that I've sorted through my inbox. There's also a "why do people have to be so complicated?" whine in there, and a "the cleaning service J uses was a half-hour early, and so I was still in the shower rather than long gone, and guess where the cleaning supplies are? my bathroom closet."
And my oatmeal was gross. And my mom still hasn't confirmed if she's coming to Chicago this weekend.
I find oatmeal problematic. I want to like it. I try to like it. My liking is really helped by lots of sugar, which kind of defeats the purpose.

Monday began with a toddler knee slamming into my eyeball at 6am.
Yeah, the amount of brown sugar I need to heap in to make oatmeal vaguely edible probably invalidates it as a healthy breakfast.
Add me to the inauspicious Monday list. Matilda got a big ol' goose-egg on her forehead and I missed my train hence arriving 15 minutes late.
Frozen fruit, like berries or cherries, is good in oatmeal. You can put them in cooked oatmeal straight from the freezer and they'll defrost fine, and cool down the oatmeal.
