Wash: Don't fall asleep now. Sleepiness is weakness of character. Ask anyone. You're acting captain. Know what happens you fall asleep now? Zoe: Jayne slits my throat, and takes over. Wash: That's right. Zoe: And we can't stop it.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I love it when animals (and small children) do that proprietary mineallminesocomforting sloungey lean into you. So ridiculously endearing.

My cat likes to rub her head on the side of mine above my right ear when she's snuggled up in my arms, or when she's perched on the end table while I'm on the computer and she wants some attention. If I'm laying on the bed napping or watching tv and ignoring her, she likes to jump on my stomach, meow down into my face, and then head-bop me on my nose. If I go away on a trip and leave her alone with just the service coming in daily to feed and water her, she becomes Velcro Kitty when I come back and refuses to let me out of her sight (well, moreso than usual).

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Nah, no text. The image alone is more than enough awesome.

Also, the other thing you nudged me about? I'll be working on it over the next day or so.

chicagoistas! Is the Marriott in the Medical District near stuff? It says that it's 1 mile from the city center?

Thirding the rec for the Y. Mine's great. Ahem. I should go see it again, seeing as it has been two weeks. Oops.

Give 'em hell, Suzi.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Vortex- that Mariott is right by the University of Illinois at Chicago and Rush Presbyterian St Luke's medical center. If you don't have business at either of those places it's not the best of neighborhoods.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Seriously. There was also talk about Dubai and Australia.

Did the talk include the observation that, though both these places are very far from the US, nonetheless they are also very far from each other?

Librarian Warlord

We just made an offer on a house - a new experience for both of us. It'll be interesting to see what they counter with, and if they still hold some fantasy that the market supports their belief in how much the place is worth.

I just got home to a very sheepish dog. She knocked one of the curtains down, a very easy thing to do as we got them at Target and they're just not that firmly attached to the walls. I kept telling her she's a good girl, fixed the curtain, no problem, gave her lots of petting. She's still slinking around like I'm going to punish her for something... hmm... maybe I should check around the trash cans for chewed up fast food wrappers.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Laga, you might also want to check for pizza boxes. She may have ordered delivery.

I can find no other evidence of wrongdoing. Maybe somebody yelled at her for knocking down the curtains some other time. Her real dad's not always a nice person.
