HAH - I haz ENT and neuro referrals now. Fear me!!!
I agree Sox - I'm doing a bit of research instead of just grabbing a name out of the health plan directory. Once I know who I want, I'm going be one pushy bitch.
Buffy ,'Get It Done'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Laga, gee, I wonder what's on your mind. IJS!
Suzi. Be that pushy bitch! It's your health. Your paying into the system. Get what you need out of it, do NOT let them boss you around. Grrr. (sorry, lots of pent up animosity to HMO's and such).
I went to the gym. Not good. I can't use any of their aerobic machines for various reasons. The weight machines were ok, but I can't really use them for very long. I didn't sign up for anything because I don't know what to do yet.
Suzi, definitely be a pushy bitch. Suggesting going back to the ER after they found nothing is just crazy. You need a specialist.
Did you talk to a trainer, sj? Sometimes they can have suggestions for you. Is there a YMCA near you? I'm obviously a big fan of swimming for exercise now.

This gym doesn't let you talk to a trainer until you sign a contract. TCG and I were just talking about the YMCA. I think I am going to look into that next. In the meantime, I am comforting myself with a pumpkin latte.
I belonged to the Y here and liked it much better than a gym. It wasn't as fancy as a lot of gyms, but it had lots of classes, it was non-competitive and no pressure-y salespeople to deal with!

Ick. That alone is reason to walk away, IMO -- it's one thing to say "you can't get a freebie session and then walk away with your newly-designed workout". It's quite another to not let you even ask if they're going to have the facilities or the knowhow to make the kind of accommodations you need.
I'll second the rec for the Y - ours is made of awesome. Very respectful, very mellow, and plenty of help if you want it.
Ugh, Suzi, that's just stupid and lazy of your M.D., and, yup, just the sort of thing to make HMO bean-counters grumpy. Go you with the research and the subsequent pushy bitchery -- sorry to hear you are basically having to do your doctor's work for him.
And from way, way upstream -- aw, bonny, your reunion with Bartleby sounds excellent. I love it when animals (and small children) do that proprietary mineallminesocomforting sloungey lean into you. So ridiculously endearing.
And, a completely shallow request for assistance: Can anyone make a decent LJ icon for me out of this picture? The icons I've made myself are all smudged and indistinct, so obviously I am not to be trusted with the making of 'em.
Raise hell, Suzi.
JZ, did you want text?
