Thanks! May amount to nothing, but why NOW. Sheesh.

eta: I mean, I have lists going on three postit pads. And am editing printout in barely legible pink pen. And I really wish I had a large wipe-off board to do this on.

Holy shit! A huge highway bridge during rush hour, and it just....collapsed??? Damn.

I've been on that bridge lots of times. Good god. I hope there aren't too many casualties, but....damn.

Dog is my co-pilot.

My husband and I have many friends and a few relatives in the Twin Cities. I can't reach any of them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oy. That's random and scary.

Unrelatedly--were the authors of the kama sutra vegans?

It's been so freaking hot there, I wonder if that was a factor. Roadways do all sorts of bad things under those conditions.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Does anyone have a good recipe for cornbread? I've tried a few in the past, but they always seem too dry.

My mom makes really good corncakes but there's not really a set recipe. It's just a cup of cornmeal, an egg, roughly half a cup of milk (enough so the texture is moist but not runny, and can be slowly poured) and sugar to taste. Instead of baking it, she pours the mix like flapjacks into a skillet with heated canola oil and flips each cake when the top side is riddled with bubbles and solidifying.

I'm sure it's horribly unhealthy, but it's also gooood.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm kind of talking out of my ass here, but I don't believe there is much of a history of veganism in the hindu religion. They're all about the cow juice.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Congrats, Dana!

I've been on that bridge lots of times.

Oh my gods. I was on that bridge all the time. I have friends who take that bridge every day, and all the fucking circuits are busy.
