Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Can someone who liked Mulholland Drive sell it to me?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I didn't like it one bit.

I sat through it, but found it dull and uninvolving.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I went to see The Duchess. It wasn't that exciting. It was pretty and well acted but the writing was meh. It was every so slightly historically correct but there wasn't enough of her gambling and money problems--just her love life and marriage.

I only went to see it because I was by myself and I figured DH would probably go see Appaloosa with me later.

my guests are loving The Duchess but I don't think we get many historians.

It's really quite lovely. There's not a lot of exposition or explanation of who the characters are but it works as a drama. Like I said, well acted but not overly exciting.

Now I just need to find a babysitter so DH and I can go watch Viggo.

He wants to put off Madagascar 2 untiil next weekend. No idea why, other than he ranks going to the movies with preschoolers right up there with root canal and rectal surgery.

Madagascar 2 is huge right now. If you don't want to see it in a crowded auditorium, it's wise to put it off.

Remember we're in the Middle of Nowheresville so it's not likely the theatre will be too packed. I'm not even expecting to get through the film with both kids. We are prepared to bail.

It doesn't really matter too much because we'll eventually own it and I'll have seen it A THOUSAND TIMES.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Can someone who liked Mulholland Drive sell it to me?

Have you liked other Lynch movies?

Because it's very Lynchian, but I thought successfully so.

Of course, you have to sort out the plot which I didn't get on first watch, but once that falls into place it's an interesting, even haunting movie.

Oh, I'm never watching it again. And I disliked the second bit more than the first (wanted to slap them all silly), so I think it's not for me.

I was a Twin Peaks fan, though.
