'Hell Bound'

Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...

To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])

Because books.

I think Mozzie still makes the most sense to me because I don't think he's ever going to entirely trust Peter and the FBI not to turn on Neal, or him, at some point. And I think I can see him blowing something up, if he doesn't have to be right there within scorching distance.

I was shocked that Peter jumped to the conclusion that Neal did it so quickly. But I was even more shocked by Neal's smile when he got in there, and I know I shouldn't have been.

I think the most I can believe is that now Neal is going to see it as bounty he didn't steal, and therefore doesn't have to give back in its entirety. As in fencing/keeping a few pieces for a sense of security: If this partnership blows up in my face, I have something to fall back on.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And I think I can see him blowing something up

Dude, he got shot. Nearly died. Why don't we think Mozzie would blow up a building? He didn't kill anyone, right?

I was shocked that Peter jumped to the conclusion that Neal did it so quickly.

I know that Neal's painting fragment was there but it still felt super weird and forced and too fast for Peter to blame Neal. And blame him harshly. He's never been shown to fight so unfairly about people he cares about. They even just showed us Peter and Elle "fighting" so we've got comparison material.

Eh. I assume it's a smokescreen like the end scene with Kate that one time.

Compassionately intolerant

I am a superficial WC fan, so I don't have nearly the background of y'all. But I honestly saw Neal's smile as, 'now I can show Peter how wrong he was about me.' That would be too simple and straightforward for teevee though, I admit it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That little smile Neal had almost broke my little heart. But they tear us up right before the hiatus, and put things together really quickly right afterwards. I'm bargaining on that, although this doesn't look like the quickest fix.

When the fuck does Leverage come back? I need the cable landscape to have either White Collar or Leverage on at all times.

Because books.

I'm filling in with Justified for the time being, although that's hardly a trial.

And Kane and Riesgraf both tweeted that they're done filming the first episode back, so ... whatever that means.

Art Crawl!!!

Looks like we're not going to see Leverage 'til summer either. Possibly June according to the Futon Critic.

I have to admit - I thought that Alex did it right after I watched the episode but you guys are making me doubt that and now I just don't know.

I do like the idea that it's a show - i.e., that Peter and Neal are playing somebody else.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Filmed it in a blizzard on a mountain, too. John Rogers said it was not his fault.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

No kidding.

Oh, yeah, that little smile was totally a con smile.

I'm feeling like there was some foreshadowing with Peter, but I can't put my finger on it right now. Something about not trusting the con man.

There was lots of the little boy and the rattlesnake story framing. Do you guys know that one? You knew what I was when you picked me up.

Peter knew what Neal was when he let him enter his life and trust. Neal knew what Peter was when he joined up. Mozzie knew what the Feds where when he was willing to work with them. Sarah knew what Neal was when she let him get her heart. Alex knew what she was in for when she pursued the box/ship.

And yet.

Yes, I like that story. Very apt.

And yet.

And yet. We are always surprised anyway, aren't we?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But so far, Peter has been the Suit with the stretchiest behaviours (but unwavering moral code) and Neal, up until recently misled but didn't flat out lie to a simple question. I'll be sad if that's a) no longer true or b) Peter stops believing it.

Did anyone watch the Southland season premiere? I really liked it. I liked how they managed to play two different addiction storylines and keep them different, without actually apologising for either guy. Both of them fucked up, although the chronic pain slide into meds abuse is something I think about quite a bit--I don't know if you even have to have an addictive personality to lose control with that.

I used to be doped up every day, so much I couldn't see straight (I was going to go to the optician, but my GP told me to stop taking the morphine instead). I was lucky that I came off everything really easily. So Cooper has a lot of my sympathy, even as he's being a dangerous dick, and I was glad he took pride with him into the hospital. And great that his partner finally snapped and pushed him to take the step.

I like that Lydia got to keep going with Rodrigo. I might tentatively have shipped her with her partner, so this is decent.

And great to see Sammy back on the streets.

Not sure how I'm feeling about Lights Out right now. He's not precisely a magical Negro, more a magical Negro cult leader. When your trainer has to pacify your children when he leaves, and give them totems and hugs just because you fired him, it's a bit much.

I like watch Holt and Pablo work. Still reeling that Pablo is Lief's brother.
