Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Me neither. We really got to see how Betty was blind to the fact that her son loved and admired her. Bobby is not tortured like a lot of Mad men characters, he is just a really sweet-natured little guy. Remember when he was at the movies with his dad last season? He reminds me of my nephew, so I like him.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Still it was really heartbreaking to see how surprised Bobby was that Betty was willing to go with him on the field trip.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I really just wanted to slap Betty.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I was waiting for that response. Heh.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Wow, kudos to the music director for the last sting of Mad Men tonight - that was inspired.

Don spiraled out of control even quicker than I was expecting. I wonder how long he is going to be able to follow the rules this time?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, kudos to the music director for the last sting of Mad Men tonight - that was inspired.

Because of Kodak?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Because of Kodak?

Right, I think it ties back to his first master pitch about the slide carousel. Also, Ken just referenced the carousel in the previous ep.

Interesting how they tie in 2001: A Space Odyssey into with the ominous dominating computer and staring up into the sky and imagining the moon landing.

Plus, the meaning of the Mets banner changes in meaning during the ep from grim reminder of Lane to something like a hint that Don will make a triumphant turn around as the '69 Miracle Mets did.

Yeah, that was the callback. That pitch was Don's calling card for years and in that pitch the carousel symbolizes family and love and childhood and wonder, so calling back to it with lyrics about how actually a carousel symbolizes futility because you never get any close to the thing you're chasing...brilliant.
