Zoe: Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing? Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

Damn, I love Julio Sanchez.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

If you wanted to catch up o Breaking Bad via vid, this is not a bad way to do that [link]

Holy shit, that vid is amazing. I'm so used to Heisenberg-Walt now that I forgot how incredibly different Walt really was at the start. Sure he was a bit cocksure and arrogant, but Cranston played it very differently back then. It's awesome to watch his performance evolve with the character. It looks like working under Gus was really the catalyst for turning him into who he's become.

Trust my rage

Yeah, the plea bargaining, like Rusty, is getting Old. I want them to just solve murders.

And for Sykes to stop being an idiot. Why would you walk up to a group of your colleagues standing with a stranger and blurt out "no dead guys". OTOH, I don't know why they have random people wandering into the squad room looking at the murder board, so maybe it's me.

So there isn't a general tv thread? (Why is that again?)

I've gone nuts for Parenthood. I watched Season 1 on DVD from the library, and just looked up Jason Katims on IMDB. He's also from Friday Night Lights and My So-Called Life! Also, full eps here: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There is no general TV thread because no one has worked out how to make one work in a way that makes it useful for enough people.

Is Parenthood on cable?

The only place we really have a gap is network drama, right?

Always Anti-fascist!

I suppose. I liked Parenthood at first...great cast, but then I thought there was too much "hugging and learning" in it.

Yeah, I end up squeeing about The Good Wife in Natter.

... could we talk about The Last Resort in Boxed Set? I mean, it's got a rogue US submarine and all. Sounds kind of genre-ey.
