Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

To me, it wasn't significantly different from anything else he said . He grated as much saying that as saying anything else. If he was going to have lines, much better that they're right.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

GODDAMN YOU WALT.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh, P-C, I am seriously traumatized.

Walter White: act in haste, rationalize away your guilt at leisure.

It's funny how this feels like the "FUCK YOU WALT I HOPE YOU DIE BURNING" moment despite all the other horrible things he's done. I think because it was so goddamn petty. It's like he's gotten all this power, but he doesn't actually know how to handle it and its consequences.

I literally watched through my fingers.

There's a short followup interview with Jonathan Banks on the AMC site where he gets all choked up. All the crew were wearing black armbands in his honor!

I just watched it! It was sweet. And it's funny how Bryan Cranston is such a sweetheart in real life.

I literally watched through my fingers.

I was saying, "Nonononononononono," the whole time.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And it's funny how Bryan Cranston is such a sweetheart in real life.

Emmett's undergoing a Cranstonian case of cognitive dissonance as he's watched the first three seasons of Breaking Bad and then just marathoned Malcolm in the Middle. (Which holds up pretty well. Dewey's Opera episode happens in S6 and it's hilarious.)

I'm at work so I can't find the link someone posted on Facebook to a YouTube vid that clipped together Cranston's epic MitM car freak out with one of Walter's. It's fascinating because you can see how Cranston can differentiate the characters and comic affect.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Having just finished season 1 of Breaking Bad, and having watched MitM pretty religiously for it first several seasons (at a certain point it lost the must-see-ness for me), I'm just flabbergasted at how good Cranston is at both drama and comedy.

I think Jon Hamm has that potential, but he's never had a comedic role as defining as Hal.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Should I try BB again? I watched the pilot and was not enamored and never went back.
