Having just finished season 1 of Breaking Bad, and having watched MitM pretty religiously for it first several seasons (at a certain point it lost the must-see-ness for me), I'm just flabbergasted at how good Cranston is at both drama and comedy.

I think Jon Hamm has that potential, but he's never had a comedic role as defining as Hal.

Should I try BB again? I watched the pilot and was not enamored and never went back.

It's extremely well crafted, and I love it a lot, but I think it might not be for everyone. But I don't know if the pilot is enough to hook you if you're gonna be hooked. I say try it again, yeah.

I vote yes -- it took me a couple of seasons before I tried it because, I think, I couldn't think of Cranston as anybody but Hal, and "cooks meth" not exactly on my list of interests.

I tried "Copper" and could not stand it, so I have an opening in my tv schedule.

Yeah Copper had zero appeal to me. Good actors I think, but too much else wrong.

I don't know how so much talent can produce something so boring. I don't get it.

I haven't watched the second episode yet, but the first was not great. I'll give it probably until next week to get better just because I do find the idea of mid 19th century Five Points cop show very attractive, but it's on probation.

And I liked and watched Deadwood so I clearly have no problem with period dramas.
