Does the finale air next Thursday? I'm trying to get caught up before..

I have no sense of when the finale is. Why does there have to be a finale? Can't there just be a new episode every week, forever? I'd like that.

I think we have four more eps. one of the comms i'm in lists last night's ep as 3x21. are they really burning off all the eps before may sweeps? that seems...odd.

I recall earlier someone said this was a supersize season, but I don't remember if we get 23 or 24 episodes.

Next week's is another supersize episode, though. Which totally fucks with my DVR and means I have to ahem Smallville.

I'm pretty sure last night's Product Recall was 3.21, as tiggy mentioned, and that there are three more episodes to go.

I think the finale is an hour long, and maybe one of the upcoming two is 40 mins? I'm more sure about the finale than the 40 minute one.

edited to clarify: I'm not counting the hour-long as two episodes. In other words, I think we have an episode on May 3, an episode on May 10, and that the May 17 finale is an hour long.

The Office: JK's impressions are always quite good, and the Dwight impression--JK as Jim impersonating Dwight, even--was hilarious. I'd seen the opening bit on youtube before, but I didn't know there was a closing bit too. OMG the funny.

30 Rock: v. sad she and floyd are over. I thought that was both touching and funny and could have been extended longer. Loved Liz as Jack's emergency contact, adored Jack's mom, thought whatshisface from Will and Grace was his normal level of funny. The bit about hayseed and hillbilly was v. funny.

Scrubs: DAMN Keri Russell! a) I didn't know you could be hot in that way, but kudos to you for growing up to be a grade a hottie; b) who knew you could play tramp so well?

Yay for Elliot and her boytoy. They are very special.

Elaine Stritch! What great casting. She stole every scene. Sean Hayes, on the other hand...great idea in theory, nsm in execution.

I also loved the way they protrayed the breakdown of Floyd and Liz-- it felt truer than they usually get to.

Elain Stritch was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. That gleam in her eye when she discovered a way to tell if Jack was lying to her? Genius.

The break-up was sad, but comedically sad. I think they shouldn't have written him out so quickly, but it definitely had that patina of frustration that long-distance relationships can accrue so fast. "Can we talk about something other than work?" that lead into the weather was just so sad, but also so true.

Yay for Elliot and her boytoy. They are very special.

After that really touching moment in the parking lot between JD and Elliot, they all went back to Elliot's house. The boytoy was supposed to be on a trip with his friends, but he was there when they got back; and it turned out that he had been seeing Elliot's dad to ask his permission to marry her. So he got down on one need and popped the ring out, Elliot looked stunned and happy, and JD bounded in media res with Keri Russell on his back.
