I just had a funny conversation with a coworker because we were bitching about out boss, and the fact that she came back in from a week out sick with a new haircut, and she was saying that when she's home sick, she's painted her nails for lack of anything better to do, but then taken the polish off, so she didn't seem well enough for a manicure!

PS: Sorry you're sick.

So much pro: Kate Walsh (seriously possibly my favorite person right now) is on today's Ellen show, and Ellen just picked up the phone and got the president of ABC Entertainment on the phone to ask if the spin-off is getting picked up. He said "I think she's in pretty good shape."

Hilarious! I didn't even like the show, but that's hilarious.

Pros:

Matilda: Still beautiful
Emmett: Still sweet on his sister
David: Still brilliant, not done with the book yet but damn the sections I've read are seriously ass-kickin'
I thought I had a cold sore sprouting on one lip but it turned out to just be a pimple

Cons:

The people who just turned me down didn't even bother to call my boss for a reference (which I kind of suspected, because if they had he'd have told them they'd be nuts not to hire me)
Commute this morning from home to Matilda's daycare to work took almost 2 hours because a semi fell over and spilled logs all over SF's main north-south artery
My breast pump's AC adapter spat sparks and died this morning
I had so much work that I had to forgo a delicious lunch at Park Chow on my division manager's dime today
The so much work is kinda done but my desk still looks like a file cabinet vomited on it
I'm so fucking hungry that nobody better come walking in wearing food-scented perfume because I will EAT THEM UP and pick my teeth with their bones

I am now reduced to The Secret, and am sitting at my desk willing a wayward deliverydrone to show up with a platter of pad thai or a sheet cake or something. I will feed myself using only the power of my mind!

Deep thoughts: why are there 321,000 Google hits for lolcat and only 14,500 for loldog? Are cats inherently funnier than dogs? One would think the reverse. Do they photograph better? Do they type better?

Or is it just that cat people spend more time on the internet than dog people, who are all out doing something healthy like playing frisbee.

Pros:
Hairs getting cut tonight.
New SPN tonight.
Did yoga this morning and feel much better.
Travelling tomorrow to see dear friends.
Will most likely see M tonight.
Nails are done very nicely this week.
Hair dye experiment turned out very pretty.
Had some kick-ass strawberries for lunch.

Cons:
Have to go all the way to Potrero Hill to get my hairs cut. Which is fine, except for the whole "getting back home" part.
Sabres are losing to the rassinfrassin' Senators. At home.
My back is hurting AND itching like unto hellaciousness.
Former boss was a dip and didn't hire JZ to replace me.
Still need to pack and am experiencing anxiety over that. Stupid Issues. Stupid TSA.
A ginormous zit is threatening to break out on the left side of my nose. Treatment is continuing apace.

Pro: I'm off in a little over half an hour

Darnit, Looptopia is tomorrow (Friday) night-to-Saturday morning, and I wish I could go!! Oh, well, next year.
