Yikes! Stay safe!

A clerk in a store called me "sir" a few weeks ago. I was very confused.

I just started re-reading Gone with the Wind for the millionth time. I was discussing it with a classmate this morning, and realized I couldn't remember the details of the point I was trying to make. (The point being that Scarlett in the novel makes WAY more sense than Scarlett in the movie, and that I absolutely cannot stand Ashley in the novel, while the movie glosses over many of his worst points.)

Ugh. I can't really sleep and have no idea how I'm going to get up for work in the morning...or if I can get out of my hood.

I think you have a perfectly valid reason for not going in tomorrow. Or, at the very least, not going in until the afternoon.

You should absolutely take day/morning off. I don't know how anyone could sleep in that situation.

Stupid question: yesterday I was sure I was just having allergies, but today my glands seem a little swollen. Does that mean it's actually another cold, or could that be from allergies, too?

I'd vote allergies, fwiw. I think of allergies as doing a general swelling thing, anyway.

Like Theo, I think it could be from allergies, Jesse. If you don't have a fever (or if you have a lowgrade fever) I'd bet it is from allergies. Allergies are when your immune system decides to be a drama queen.

I hope Allyson and all her neighbors are safe this morning. I haven't seen any news on the fire yet.
