She says thanks for all the good wishes. They're ok so far. She's only about two miles from the fire, but right now they're not worried about the fire jumping Los Feliz Blvd, although they are evacuating everyone north of Los Feliz, which is only two blocks from her. I don't know if she has a dust mask (we hung up so she could conserve her phone battery). Right now all her neighbors are on the roof, and they're all pretty stunned--it doesn't get more front row than her roof.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Sean, call ND's. He's home too.
Okay. Not that we're evacuating now, or anything. But they're closing down Los Feliz blvd, so it's going to be an interesting night.
Well you know the door is open. I'll wash the guest sheets just in case.
Damn. Thanks for updating us on Allyson. That's scary ass shit.
That fire is awful. Stay safe, everyone. I keep looking for news on the TV, but I'm getting nothing.
Carter: "Why does the dummy look like me?"
Henry: "It's generic!"
So it could be a very honest mistake.
::laughs like a drain::
That, of course, is Scott's favorite line of every episode we've seen, to date. He may have issues because I've overdiscussed a certain actor's handsomeness. *cough*
No Veronica Mars for us tonight--all Griffith Park fire and mayhem and helicopter reporting.
Off to bed. Tonight wasn't a good time for my oscillating fan to stop with the osc. But, really, that's small potatoes.
Ack, this fire, and Sean's photos especially, are giving me bad deja vu of the time Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, and Irvine were on fire. Like Sean and Allyson, we could easily see the fireline from our apartment and watched it sneak closer and closer. Ack. I just want the fire OUT and everybody SAFE.
crap! My friend Barbara lives ON Los Feliz Blvd.
She posted earlier about going to a friend's house to sleep, but I thought she was kidding...
Ouch. Yeah, Los Feliz Blvd is a bad place to be right now. However, they just had the fire chief on the news, and he thinks they have the fire sufficiently blocked from any homes right now (barring any wind changes), and he even went so far as to say they should be ok until morning when they can see better what's going on. Allyson has power again--dunno if she's gonna try to get online, though.
