The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I've been telling myself all week that my gland swelling is allergy related, Jesse, and so far it seems to be true.

Lee, why are you awake?

Allyson, I hope you and Ruby are safe and got some sleep last night. My news said that the landmarks of Griffith Park were not in danger, and that they were letting everyone who was evacuated last night back to their homes this a.m.

eta: My news is D.C. news, so those anchors might not have a clue.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Best wishes for the LAistas.

And sympathies to Stephanie.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So sorry, Stephanie.

I'm not sure why I think it's better if it's allergies than a cold, but there you go. Stupid allergies. Claritin is supposed to be non-drowsy, right? Maybe I'll try that.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Here's hoping that Allyson stays home today. I know it's a new job and all, but very nearly having to evacuate your apartment surely qualifies as special circumstances!

Sympathies, Stephanie! Healing-ma to you and your family!

I'm sorry Stephanie.

You're totally getting the mumps Jesse! Or at least that's what I'm thinking, everytime my glands feel swollen.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Because allergies are just your immune system overreacting and going all drama queen, while a cold involves a viral invasion of your body. (WE'RE IN UR BODY, MAKIN U SNIFFL!)

Ha! What's fucked up is, my immediate thought is that if I were really sick, at least I wouldn't have to come to work.

Good call. Also, allergies are caused by pretty things.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

SNIFFL

My brain keeps wanting to read this as the name of some new social networking thing. And then I realize -- it kind of already is.

Man I am so there. For the last week I have had the lingering blahs, an off-on sore throat, and low-grade migraines, and I keep wishing I was really sick so I could stay home. I also wish the one stressy thing at work that makes me keep coming in would be over.
