Before I dash off to work, I have to report I'm chuffed. I'm chuffed that my neck is no longer retaliating against me, no matter how long the ceasefire lasts.
I'm also chuffed that I'm wearing these stockings (finally got off my duff and ordered from your favourite store, Kat) under a black skirt (which should be shorter! I want to show them off!) with a pale pink turtleneck and a black velvet blazer.

Kat, one of my sisters (not the one in LA) has the chronic EBV and has had it since before her kiddos were born. She breast fed all of them and I don't think she would have done that if there was any danger of passing on the virus to them. Your babies are, of course, in a different category for exposures they can tolerate -- but maybe this will help give some weight to the "this is going to be okay" part of your brain. I'll be amongst the many hoping everything really is okay.

I'm done having my emotional meltdown. Everything seems more melodramatic when unexpected events occur at 4:00 AM. Even if you are already awake at 4:00 AM.
Chances are I have the virus (if the CDC is to be believed) and let's hope I was exposed to it before this so it doesn't manifest in mono. I have to call my doctor's office at 8:30 (meh) and I'll try to talk to a nurse to get an answer. In the mean time I should take a shower.
Things on my list for the day, in honor of msbelle.
- steam clean glider (seriously this will take me forever)
- label full boxes and move to the garage
- send in rebate form
- continue to search for mother's day gift
- buy two baby gates after I measure the doorways
- leave message for social worker at NICU re: regional center
- call my OB to get leave forms that I left there because I need them by Friday.
- get wireless USB adapter for Tivo (please let this work as we don't have a phone line)
- possibly order a phone line
