I've decided the linky above is wrong and mistaken and not sense making. The only damage from migraines is double posting.

I have still never seen the Colbert flavor.
I have some of the Colbert ice cream in my freezer right now, and to be honest, I'm not that thrilled with it. For something with that much in it, it's sort of bland.
I fractured a tooth.
Ouch. I hope it doesn't hurt too much.
Well, I got the letter from UofI--I didn't get in.
I'm sorry to hear that. They rejected me for a job once too. Perhaps we should smite them.
IOmeme news: Oh dear lord. Before I even got all the way signed in this morning, the phone rang with a two hour project, and it just never stopped all fricking day. It was like they think they pay me to work or something.

I still need to do a taste test battle royale between Colbert's ice cream and Willie Nelson's.
Huh. I can't believe I didn't notice I double posted. THE LINK IS RIGHT. YOU CAN'T FIGHT THE LINK. I mean, I can't, evidently.
so I'm going to eat those tonight while I'm feeling sorry for myself,
Kathy is me tonight. I was so exhausted by pushing back against everyone else's negativity in re: the Market burning, that I drank wine tonight for the first time in more than a month that featured very little other sugar. Result? I'm typing vvveeeerrryyy slowly and would so totally flunk a walktheline test right now.
Ironic...being bummed by other people's bumming and then getting drunk. But hey, it seemed like a good idea.
Off to bed for me.
Mayor is coming tomorrow at 10. Should be sobered up by then.
My 16 year old buddy walked me home from his house (where his mom gave me the alcohol) and could not stop laughing at me. After several attempts to fit a key in a moving lock..."Beej, you should so try handling money soon."
Laugh it up Monkey Boy. (actually, I totally love him...in a noncreepy way) But yeah. Bed now.
THE LINK IS RIGHT. YOU CAN'T FIGHT THE LINK.
It's too early to worry about that link. "Migraine" probably includes several different disorders with several different causes and with different long-term effects. That mouse model is only one of several animal models of migraine, and no one even knows for sure if it matches the human version of even one of these forms of migraine. We do know it doesn't match all of them.
I expect that you'll be able to find more balanced coverage of this paper on e.g. the Mayo Clinic site in a few weeks.
Reparation link: pretties.
Of the two medical studies forwarded to me recently, Rick, I certainly give more credence to the idea that migraines make me stupid. Retarding memory loss? Not yet here, that's for sure.
So, according to the surgeons, my aunt Carol's OPEN HEART SURGERY went well, better than expected. Which, yeah, good, considering OHS! Now if only dad actually recalled the details. I like details. Provides a semblence of control. Dad canb't recall a detail to save his life. Oh well. Aunt Carol is alive and ok.
I definitely don't feel as mentally sharp as I was in college. More frequently right due to life experience, sure, but the ol' gray matter does not work with the same speed and efficiency of memory as it did back in the late 80s and early 90s. And while I'm as technically proficient as I've ever been (except maybe with oils, which I've used once in the last decade), I know I'm not as creative or prolific with regard to my artwork.
On the flip side, the part of my brain that governed worrying about what other people think seems to have experienced a nearly complete early die-off.
