Trust my rage

Why an empty purse?

For me, it's because I want my stuff easily accessible while I'm in the airport and most likely have my hands full, but I also want to have a smaller purse with only the stuff I need at my destination.

There's a little Michael Scott in your rabbi. Oh, that's what she said.

Ha! Erika gave me my first laugh out loud moment of the day.

And, yeah, the man is being rude as hell. He needs to stop.

In driving around very early this morning, I heard NPR's broadcast of some of the grilling of Alberto Gonzales.

It did very very bad things to my blood pressure.

Particularly when Feinstein grilled him about the firing of Carol Lam, who was apparently one of the top ten prosecutors in the entire country, and whose prosecutions of high priority cases were better than just about anybody, and her immigration prosecutions had risen in number by an astounding amount over the last two years.

Gonzales stood by her firing, which he reiterated was because of performance issues and for not prosecuting enough immigration cases.

Does anybody have a shovel?

Does anybody have a shovel?

I'm busy right now dealing with the Supremes.

SA, congratulations on your decision!

It's foolhardy of me to say this, but with constant application of DayQuil and herbal tea, and a lack of complicated tasks, I might be able to wobble through the entire work day. And then I will sleep for twelve hours.

I just shove my purse into my carryon at the last minute, and pull it out once I'm on the plane. I would never check a laptop, because of the depressingly high number of bags that are lost forever.

Pretty much every time someone mentioned to me that they'd checked a laptop, they also mentioned how their laptop had been broken

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Ah, sick people.

I'm mostly better after having the SnotMonster Crud for about two weeks. Last night my body said "Aw, fuck this!", gave me pains, fatigue and a fever as it launched an all-out assault against the crud. Passed out early and sweated my way through the night with fun fun fever dreams.

But...I do feel better. Lungs clearer, sinuses clearer...all I need to do now is catch up on the sleep, I think, and I'll be fine.

Such is the esteem my subconscious holds for your flea mom superpowers.

I am ... kind of amazed. Thanks.

Ann, that's a ferret.

It's rarely wise to hit people with shovels. It leave a bad impression on their minds.
