Sorry about the insomnia, Kat. I know all too well how much it sucks.
At least we've got encouring news about Teddy-cat. I haven't posted anything in the announcements because pretty much I'm still unemployed. I'm gradually cleaning off my home office desk because it's going to be my primary hangout for the next little while....
I'm learning all sorts of things about the squirrels in my backyard. Yesterday I saw one dragging a piece of rag up a tree, which was very laborious because the rag was bigger than it and kept getting in the way of its feet. Very determined squirrel. I assume this means that nesting and baby squirrels are ahead for my backyard-watching activities.
There should be a law of nature -- if a new mother is home before her newborns, she should be unable to avoid sleeping like a log. Juicy pumping to you, Kat and a good visit with your beautiful children.
Allyson, hope you enjoy hot Moroccan guy.
And, to repeat from Bitches, Teddy seems to be doing well. Eating well, taking medication without too much fuss, drinkning large amounts of water.
So far today, I have signed up for Wiscon, and checked out the route to Madison WI from my Mom's in PA. I'd better calculate the cost of gasoline for a drive like that, because I suspect it will be more than planefare, especially if gas goes up between now and the end of May, which is predicted, btw.
Theo, I've got a place for you to crash when you get here. Unless you're planning on staying wherever the con is. In any case, we need to get together. Also, gas is $2.69 around here right now. It's gone up about 20 cents in the last month. I'm not sure how much that will affect you, but just so you know.

Sob. I wish. I think I paid $3.19 last time I filled up and I noticed that my usual station is in the $3.2-somethings right now.
ION, I wanna go home.
I am currently trying to give my usually strong immune system a pep talk, since I'm apparently trying to get a cold. Unless the slight cold I thought I had a couple of weeks ago was actually allergies, like my coworker said it was, and this is, too. I can't tell!
Easter wouldn't be Easter without scientific experiments on Peeps: [link]
From another blog:
Well, you've heard of peep jousting, but what happens when you stick marshmallow peeps in a vacuum and then electrocute them with 9000 volts from a neon sign transformer? Check out Divide's photoset to find out!
I just realized -- Vampire People will probably mean the end of hiding my fannishness from my co-workers. Because there is no way I'm going to be able to keep from pimping it.
I have had that same revelation, Jess. Allyson better make enough money as a famous writer to keep us all once we've lost our jobs due to being on line all day!
