Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Jessica! Really? This whole thing is so surreal. It also means my realease date has been pushed up to mid-July. Meep.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Well, either they'll take my "you have to read this book" advice instantly and learn all about fandom from reading it, or I'll have to explain fandom in order to persuade them. Either way, that closet door is wide open...

(My co-workers already know I'm online all day. They just don't know what it is I do here.)

(And to be fair, keeping up to date with media/tech news is relevant to my job, so it's not like my interweb activities are a complete waste of the company's time.)

I just realized -- Vampire People will probably mean the end of hiding my fannishness from my co-workers.

I've had that realization too. Plus, snot. Eek.

Allyson better make enough money as a famous writer to keep us all once we've lost our jobs due to being on line all day!

And this!

Heh.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

sara! D sounds like a cutiehead!

if a new mother is home before her newborns, she should be unable to avoid sleeping like a log.

I wish this were true.

Hey, poor non-sleepihead!

The entire time I was talking to my brother, D was going on and on at a million miles an hour in the background. J was trying to organize the garage (gajillions of car parts) and D was, um, helping. Which means he was being a chaos demon, basically. The tyrannosaurus rex was also killing the chocks, also referred to as frogs. But they didn't have to go to jail.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

What the... ? You know, it's a relatively interesting little thing, but adding the bits at the top and bottom to say, "Hey, aren't you cool and above-average for being able to read it" kind of contradict the point made within the text, doesn't it?

I'm sure that part was added later: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

if a new mother is home before her newborns, she should be unable to avoid sleeping like a log.

I wish this were true.

Seems like it's impossible, really. But it sucks.

Yeah, there's no way I can mention that book to anyone without being immediately and dramatically busted, is it?

You could say, "Um, hypothetically, if I was part of an online community of fans, it might be a lot like the one described in this book. Which coincidentally describes a person with the same name as me."
