We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I had a good start to the morning. During morning exercise, I did my bench press reps at the maximum weight for my weight machine. Very satisfying.

Yay, Gudanov!!

I finally figured out the proper way to hold my upper body while doing the back stroke during yesterday's swim--I now keep my back arched up so my stomach is tighter, and my legs don't lag down in the pool as much, so I can kick better. It did strain my left shoulder muscle a bit; this morning, I could barely lift it over to shut off the alarm.

Coding and Sleeping

Sounds like you're doing really well Kathy A!

Birds are just cool. Those late raptors of the dino era are pretty cool as well.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

One good look at a roadrunner, and it's hard to believe they aren't related. That's a seriously prehistoric looking creature.

You're right! It does look like one of those dinosaurs with useless hands, like a velociraptor!

And those roadrunners are sneaky little bastards, always zooming up behind you and then "Beep-Beep!"ing so you jump right into your Acme roadrunning-catching product.

Who says that dinosaurs didn't have intelligence?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If dinosaurs could have violated the laws of physics like roadrunners can, maybe they'd still be around.

You know how roadrunners kill things like rattlesnakes? Grab the tail, snap it like a whip to beat its head against the ground until it is dead. Seriously.

For a while, there was one that'd come up on the table on my parents' front porch and prance in front of the window, driving the cats out of their gourds.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Interrupty -- Kat, I would love Noah and Grace updates. I'm Zmayhem on lj.

Also, if you're still having trouble tracking down preemie clothes, let me know, 'cause the parenting center at the hospital Matilda was born at has a metric assload of preemie kimonos, pants and hats in lots of pretty colors. I can snap some up and they'll be at your door in a day or two.

Today's Dinosaur Comics just made me clap my hands over my mouth and wheeze at my desk.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

BAH. I was having a decent day today. I'm exhausted and not all that motivated to work, but I also don't have anything due right away, so that was all working out. Somehow this morning pulled me down in to a giant vortex of suck, and now I just want to go home.

Our wings are not tired.

News reports are saying, unsurprisingly, that Gov. Corzine was not wearing his seat belt. When will people learn?
