Liese, look up Jim Rouse and Columbia. Columbia is built somewhat around that model.

Oh, Cindy, my Mainer coworker has a UCC church in Durham that I think you'd like. Also, if you'd like to email or call me on the phone at some point, we can do that.
If this starts escalating from "Not really -- but what if" to actual "What if, no really, what if," I will.
Church is going to be hard. I love my UCC church, but it's really sort of unique. But I'd go postal in a Southern Baptist church.
That's literal, folks.
Are there pictures?
I am not looking at that link.

I'm not digging around on the site to find out. Plus, I don't read Japanese.
I found an opened bottle of white zin in our downstairs fridge. How long does chilled wine keep once it's been opened? A couple of days? A week? A month?
For drinking, not more than a couple of days. For cooking with, a week to ten days should be fine (might be a bit vinegary, but not so you'd notice in a sauce).
I keep hearing about "Transit villages" around here, and it seems like an interesting idea. Mixed income housing and retail clustered near public transportation hubs, basically - a Bart station with buses and possibly Amtrak with apartments and condos nearby, walking/bik trails connecting everything, grocery stores, drug stores and specialty shops either ground floor of the apartments or in a shopping center nearby. I'm not sure how well the execution works, but the concept is intriguing.
