Art Crawl!!!

I've been wondering the same thing.

(I mean they use "meta-human" in the tv show "Birds of Prey" -- but who took that seriously?)

- ita -- how do I "quick-edit" something in the middle of a sentence? That's what I don't get.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

sumi, remember, a single line break doesn't show up as a line break onscreen, only in the posting box.

Art Crawl!!!

Aha!

Oh, and so we have that fright beast from Bats, killer robots, Batgirl not speaking to Babs, a possible resurrected Jason and Penguin with his power consolidated all to add to the pre-Wargames build-up.
Forgot the no real Robin or Spoiler sitch.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Powers: Ah, now I remember why I missed Deena.

Astounishing: Continues to be good. Joss sure isn't pulling any punches, is he?

Line that made me take a moment to laugh out loud: "You teach Ethics?"

Art Crawl!!!

There is some Batman/Catwoman story (2 issues I think?) -- is that possibly leading up to War Games?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I believe the metahuman thing stems from the Invasion! summer crossover, wherein about 95% of the human superheroes were revealed to get their powers from the meta-gene that a certain proportion of people carry.

Oh. So do you need an accident to trigger this meta-gene sometimes? Barry Allen, meta? Once activated, the powers are hereditary? Superman, not meta because alien, right? And then there are people like John Constantine or Tim Hunter -- meta? Aquaman -- not human, but is he meta for an Atlantean? Black Lightning?

I'm so confused.

I skimmed through the Another Nail or whatever they're calling it for this week. Firestorm's white -- I'm good with that. Halo's black. Anyone know why?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

about 95% of the human superheroes were revealed to get their powers from the meta-gene that a certain proportion of people carry

Why would they do something stupid like that? Isn't that the exact same idiotic Jedi thing that Lucas did?

So these would be metachlordians, then?

I didn't even get that far -- I figured it was just mutancy under another name.
