This may just be my browser, but starting here Jessica "Coffee On My Monitor" Oct 30, 2002 11:06:11 pm PST, there is a whitefont problem that goes on for a number of posts.
Wow, um, sorry! (Still, I'm impressed that it apparently went unnoticed for two years.)
The same thing happened in one of the threads the other day, Jessica. Because no one else mentioned it, despite there being an active conversation, I assume it was limited to people using Mac OS 10.3.6 and Safari 1.2.4, or in other words, me.
It also depends upon how many posts you are set to display at once.
I notice oddness often because I gather 100 posts at a time, and oddities stand out.
I just managed to (accidentally) block someone, and I am not sure how, since all I did was hit previous. Any hints on how to not do this?
The version in [link] uses Tidy to do the work on display. I didn't see any negative performance hits.
The board is protected from mismatched delimiters, with no automatic repairs made.
Contexted links for raw urls, and "m" for tiny-font are the only functional changes.
(ita, I stripped out all the code I put in that is now being handled by Tidy.)
If Tidy isn't changing the stored post text, but is only changing it on display, then I think we
should
have a little warning message inserted at the bottom of the post. Suggestions?
Jon. I added that just now, as shown here: [link]
m Is that small font thing implemented already?
Ah, clearly not. What is all this Tidy talk, anyhow? I'm so confused.
'm' for microtext is only in the lab, P-C. Tidy is a tool for fixing html. Also only in the lab.
Dammit, Gus, I just got
home
from the lab. Don't make me go back!
