Do you have problems, concerns or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
Oh no, Jessica's going to get sent down the chute.
I have a really ignorant question (I mean, I'm ignorant of how things work...you'll see): Is there something, when it comes to starting a new thread, that's set at 1 that should be set at 0, so that the first post is #1 and not #2? (See what I meant about ignorant? The only thing I can think of is when my document has a cover sheet, but I want the numbering to start on the second page of the document with #1, I have to start the numbering from 0.)
Maybe.
Basically, I made a change to eliminate the double post numbers, and that happened, and I haven't been back.
Huh. Clearly, it's not an Issue.
Haven't we still had the occasional double post #? I thought I saw one recently.
Much fewer than before, with increased volume. It's not perfect, and short of switching to a triggered database, I don't think it's worth sweating over.
Might as well get the Issues taken care of first.

I saw a triple the other day, but the times were all different. The first two were a second apart, I think. The third was a few seconds later. I diserember what thread, so this probably isn't helpful in and of itself. Should we still report them? I just accepted this one as a blip. I didn't want to bother anyone with it.

We're talking about two posts with the same post id #, not the same content. Is that what you're referring to?
Yes. It went something like (Made up numbers, but...)

The first two of the triplet were only a second apart, but then the third was a few more seconds behind.
