How about transferring .net and testing that, before transferring .org?
Probably the simplest, yes. We were good and lucky that Kristen let us have a whole separate .net (instead of the subdomain we were testing with before). We can test with it and then disable it after.
Or maybe, on our own server, we can use it too. We'll see.
So I guess the timeline depends on how long the archiving is going to take?
ETA: Also, if you're going dedicated, it takes about a week to set up a new server. So y'all should really order it soon.
Big time thanks to Kristen and Monique.
Yeah, sadly, getting rid of the error messages for the moment made the urgency feel like it went away. Doh.
Yeah, I just paid for November so it reminded me.
So, does the amount we are sending back to FG include payment for November? If it doesn't, it should.
This may be a silly question, but I notice that when I go to change my profile it lists all of the threads that we've had (under subscriptions). Does this make a difference in terms of our database? Should it be pruned?
You mean you're still subbed to closed threads? It has come up, and they said it was better to remove those subscriptions.
No, I'm not subbed to them, but they are still listed in the list of threads you can be subbed to. If that makes any sense.

Yep, makes sense. The list you're seeing does include a bunch of older threads, but not all of them -- if you look closely, for instance, you should see that the oldest Natter thread there is #10. They disappear from that list as they get archived and removed from the site.
