In that case, I can take it off the list of things people want added.

Just replace it with "Move Search out of beta," as ita suggested. Adding a radio button for "Search thread #__" will probably happen between beta and 1.0, with 2.0 having "Search current thread" or "Search [thread names dropbox]."

"s" to be added to allowed tags, which ought to be a relatively quick fix

All the allowed tag requests seem like quick fixes, but I thought they should be deprioritized to keep the biggies in focus.

I just tried to do a search for the term V!Giles and got hits for every reference to Giles. Should I put quotes around it or can I not search for the "!"?

I am sooo trying to spoil myself figuring out what you're searching for. Anyway, just search it and then use Ctrl-F on the results.

Changes made as suggested. The list now reads, in order from highest to lowest:

  • CVS repository
  • Move search out of beta
  • Shorten long URLs
  • Option not to show taglines
  • Tag closer
  • Ability to label bookmarks
  • ENUF filter
  • Searching user list by e-mail address
  • Threadsuck
  • Quickedits for tiny text,
t BR , and links
  • More tags:
t BLOCKQUOTE t TT t SUB t SUP t CENTER
  • User set style: font, colour, etc (covers for visually impaired, dislike of fonts, size, and several others)

There are more at the lower levels, but that's approximately the top 50% of the list.

That list looks great Am-Chau, except for one thing - Does anyone really think "Option not to show taglines" should be that high? I would put it at least below Threadsuck.

Hmm - has "allow pictures" definitely been added to the todo list (even if low priority)?

I thought there was pretty strong consensus not to have pictures on the thread pages, but to maybe allow a picture on a user's profile page.
