Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

To-do list

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

That list looks great Am-Chau, except for one thing - Does anyone really think "Option not to show taglines" should be that high? I would put it at least below Threadsuck.

Hmm - has "allow pictures" definitely been added to the todo list (even if low priority)?

I thought there was pretty strong consensus not to have pictures on the thread pages, but to maybe allow a picture on a user's profile page.

Adding a radio button for "Search thread #__" will probably happen between beta and 1.0, with 2.0 having "Search current thread" or "Search [thread names dropbox]."

Are you coding this, Noumenon?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Is there a wish for a spellchecker for posts on that list somewhere? I am ne of the Buffistas worst spellers and would really love it!

So many ripostes, so little time.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I was thinking that if Sophia is one of our worst spellers, we're in really, really good shape on that score.

See-- I'm horrible! (actually more of a bad typist, but still....)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Spellchecker is a pretty complex request, as a heads up.

That's OK then-- I was just thinking of it because there was one at WX. There's probably only about 5 of us who can't spell anyway! Mine is actually complicated by the font size in the posting box. Can I up that in my browser prefs without also enlarging the Verdana that the board is in?

I can't spell either. I often paste the text into TextEdit to spell check it before I post.

Sophia, if you are using Mac OS X, Omniweb has a spelling check built into it. You might give it a try.

I don't think you can change the text size for entry boxes separately from the rest of the text.

No. Not yet, anyway. That would be part of the "user-defined stylesheet" project.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Sophia, for your longer posts, you could write them using the AppleWorks word processor, spell-check them, and then paste them into the post box. It takes a bit more effort, but then at least you'll have a chance to catch the spelling errors. I'm a terrible typist myself, so I do miss the spellcheck, but I know what a programming nightmare it would be.
