Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Quote issue -- I just got this:

Hey, man, where are my pants? I have my hippo dignity!'
Oz, ''

Should we be doing something different with this kind of thing?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You mean the extra quote? Or the two blanks for the ep name? Because I deleted the quote mark, but I can't see why there'd be no ep name.

Oh, nix that. It had an episode number, a season number, but no show name. Finis!

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

OK, this is weird. I read the two posts above and thought to myself, "Self? When am I going to see that quote?" But then I looked up and there it was in its special little corner of the board.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That is indeed weird.

You don't call yourself Jon?

I looked up and there it was in its special little corner of the board.

It's the new "It's all about the coat"!

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

Strangely, I call Jon "Self" as well.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Now who's the weird one?

John H - Dec 27, 2002 9:38:19 pm PST #2385 of 10000

And then there's Money by Martin Amis, in which the main character is called "John Self". And one of the other characters is called Martin Amis.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Hmm - has "allow pictures" definitely been added to the todo list (even if low priority)? Because if we allow images in posts, I think there will significant bandwidth and performance issues; this applies even to Stors and images that appear in every post by a user.

Images in the user profile, available only through the profile, would be harmless, I think.

I don't think the code will be especially tough. But when pictures move to a priority, I think someone should do a real cost/benefit calculation before defininitely deciding to allow WX style images - what I think of as visual tag lines.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Images in the user profile, available only through the profile, would be harmless, I think.

This would be my preferred option.
