Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Damn it, I thought that sort of contingency planning was his super power!

BWAH!!!!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

To be fair, if Nathan had reneged and put Claire onboard the plane, there might have been a plan or two that HRG could have had handy.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

So, does nobody know that Nathan has a power? Did HRG agree to work with Nathan to protect Claire?

I think the series regulars all know, but he's largely concealing his powers.

I find it interesting that some people think Nathan's out of character here. Among the first things Nathan said about the powers when he finally acknowledged they were real was that he'd round up everyone with powers and and put them on an island. I'll admit he was out of character last time around, when he threw in with Papa Petrelli, but the underlying current has been the same throughout: He thinks people with powers are dangerous, and he's flailing around for the best method to protect normal people from them. That he's completely wrong in his method just makes him a Petrelli.

Did HRG agree to work with Nathan to protect Claire?

As always, HRG seems to be working an angle, and keeping Claire out of things was probably the bargaining chip. He should have known she'd get invovled, though. Because she's Claire, and even in an episode which was sort of split between the slow and the awesome, she comes down squarely on the awesome side.

One thing I'm happy about: most of our principle characters are in the same fricking scene. Soooo over everybody only crossing each other's path occasionally. They all know each other now, and they all have deep ties to one another. Supporting characters are nice, and a lot of them were great, but the show was drowning in its supporting cast, when a lot of the regulars weren't getting enough attention.

So ... Peter, HRG, Claire, Matt, Mohinder, Hiro and Not!Nikki are on the plane. (Am I forgetting someone?) Who's left to pull off a rescue? Ando and Daphne? Sylar's not really the rescuing type, and Nathan's a ... well, in light of my previous thoughts on Nathan, let's call him an antagonist and not a "bad guy." Ando can track them, though, and Daphne can get there. And they actually know each other.

Art Crawl!!!

Yes, I think it's up to Ando and Daphne to save them.

I wonder if Ando will amp up Daphne's already super speed and allow her to race around the earth in the opposite direction to turn back time. Speedsters can do that, right?

Serial:

Had to post this great bit from the TWOP recap:

"Nathan responds by using Peter's weakness for brother-touching to distract him so Bennet can incapacitate him. Cold, but very smart."

BWAH!

I wouldn't rule out Sylar as part of a rescue mission on Heroes: Lost. The guy has got issues. It all depends on how he feels about the Nathan Ninjas.

I agree that this is characteristic behavior for Nathan.

And I am somewhat concerned that one can get into a plane from the wheel well. One would hope that on pressurized aircraft you wouldn't have a hole there. Maybe its a little door?

I thought Claire's plan was to get up in the wheelwell, freeze to death/asphyxiate, and then revive when the plane landed.

I was not taking Heroes-verse tech into account, it seems. Where planes have access from the wheelwells into the body of the plane....

Me too! I thought we were going to have a long dramatic sequence of her clinging and reviving.

Instead we had a short dramatic sequence of her knowing just which people to uncover and everything going to hell. Also fun.

Does she look somehow "different" to anyone else? If she were older I'd think she had work done but there's not really anything to nip and tuck.
