Since my tagline is still a quote from this show, I felt the need to post one last time. I hardly watched at all this last season. Not nearly enough Nekkid Peter to make up for the stupid. But once upon an S1, this show kicked tremendous amounts of ass. Sad that it never recovered from Los Gemelos Aburridos, badly done time travel, and Sylar lust.
Heroes 1: We Could Be Heroes
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the show and ancillary materials such as web comics! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. Chuffa, Chuffa!
I watched up to the last, and was glad to see several storylines, like Hiro's, fixed enough that I can imagine they went on to have a chance at happy lives.
I was a faithful watcher but I'm not sad it's over. Like many above I felt the show never lived up to its true potential. I felt the shadow of the X-Men over almost every episode.
Last week I saw Christine Rose as a Klingon on TNG and she was so Mama Petrelli it became a comedy. I think I'll miss her crazy the most.
I would totally watch the Mama Petrelli show.
There were times when it felt like she'd wandered over from some other, better written show.
In case you missed it, in an unprecedented unanimous vote, this thread will close in about a week (June 1).
I gave up on Heroes midway through this last season. Then I realized that I actually had given up with only two episodes to go, so I figured I might as well watch them. I won't say that I want those two hours of my life back, but if it had been renewed, I wasn't going to stick with it.
I just sat and made sure I had read all the webcomics, because I am a completist like that. Nothing interesting there, if anyone is wondering.
Thanks for the grenade falling -t. Good to know there is nothing to miss is the sea of nothingness that the show became.
Sad really. Yet another case of good characters being led uninterstingly astray.
Sigh.
I didn't finish all the webcomics and I never started the webisodes. I think they were careful not to reveal anything important outside the actual show. I remembered the first season fondly but last week I went back and re-watched the pilot and I found it un-engaging. I think most of the fun was not knowing what was going to happen.
As per the unprecedented unanimous vote, I closed this thread.
Buh-bye, Claire-Bear.
