I'd prefer blackfont. Don't think the comics are spoilery, because the show is intended to be in two media. If you are not reading the comics and you get info from them you are not being spoiled: you are getting part of the show you would otherwise miss. Suppose some circumstances forced you to miss five minutes of every show? Would discussion of that five minutes be spoilery for you? Discussing the comics is giving you part of the experience the creators of the show intend you to have. In that sense, it is different from what was considered spoilers in other shows. While I'm all for "trust the tale, not the teller" I think whether auxillary works are included as part of a work of art, is one where where authorial intent is to be respected.
That being said, if people would still rather it be white-fonted (for themselves, not speculating on what others would prefer) it is no big deal, and I'm willing to stick to white-font just to accomodate this. My only caveat is that they consider blackfont of the comics a spoiler for them personally. I don't want to white font because someone thinks someone else may consider it spoilery
Dana and Vortex both seemed concerned that they personally find it spoilery for themselves; so if they continue to feel that way, and don't reconsider, then that is a good enough argument for white fonting. (Vortex, I don't think the slope is that slippery though. "Intended from the beginning to be part of the show, and released on-line to contribute to your enjoyment of the show on the official site" is one heck of a brightline. I kind of hope you and Dana will change your minds. But if not I think we should whitefont for you, cause as you say, not that big a deal.)

I know what you mean, but if history has shown that the comic has had spoilery material in the past, isn't it better to be safe than sorry? *sigh* I feel like I'm being a bitch here, but our spoiler definition came to be after much discussion. Regardless of whether the comics are meant to be a companion to the series, I think that we should stick with our original defintion of spoiler, unles we want to change that.
What if we don't allow discussion of the current week's comic until after the next episode has aired? It wouldn't work if the spoilers been more than a week ahead, but I'm not sure that's the case. Usually it seems like the current comic is background for the next ep. However I'm going by memory here, so I'm not totally sure of that.

Mostly. The only exception is that Hana was introduced waaaaay early in the comic.

I was originally thinking of no discussion of the current comic at all until the ep airs, mostly because I dislike white font. Thinking about it, though, I can see where people may misremember when the comic appeared. At least when we whitefont folks tend to be more cautious. What do people think?

For what it's worth to the comics/blackfont discussion, here's the wording of Theo's proposal, which provided for discussion of the comic and other ancillaries:
Proposal: That we add a new thread to the TV and Film Discussion Folder specifically dedicated to Heroes.
The tentative title is We Could Be Heroes, with the description specifying that it is for discussion of the TV series and ancillary materials such as web comics.
The thread shall be designated as NAFDA.
Still, I don't want people to feel spoiled, or avoid the thread. And Vortex, you're not being a bitch. You're giving your opinion.
It's not an issue that will cause me to avoid the thread, FWIW.
