Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Brain drugs are interesting things. Hubby's been dealing with perfectly understandable depression due to the pain etc., and he was on Zoloft for awhile. It did nothing for him. He's been on a new one--utter brain wipe on the name--for a bit over a week, and people who talk to him less than once a week are saying, "Wow, what's got you in such a good mood all of a sudden?" He's dealing with some physical side effects, but he said he's more than happy to put up with them for having the gut ripping despair lifted.

I just don't want to hear my husband cry anymore. Yay, drugs.

Because of the way UC salaries work, it's VERY IMPORTANT that you get appointed at the highest level possible because you're locked in after that.

YES. That is how I got screwed in my current job here. Of course, they never actually offered me to job officially, just put the paperwork in and expected me to be happy, but I digress.

Vortex have you heard anything from any of the resumes you sent out? And, while you're here, got any play time this weekend?

What is even happening?

Suzi, that story about K getting bit on the tush is too funny.

Yes! I'm so glad for him Connie.

It's just finding that right one, that's tricky. They treat anxiety and panic disorders with SSRI anti-depressants. I don't seem to be clinically depressed, and I can't help but wonder if that wasn't some of my problem with the Celexa -- if it lifted me too much.

this weekend is horrible, I've got high school students visiting. While I am in DESPERATE need of a cocktail, alas I am not free. Maybe next week?

Maybe next week?

You betcha. I suspect our place might be ready for visitors next weekend if I stay away from the cocktails this weekend.

I still have hope that I will find the TV clickers in the last couple of boxes marked "misc." by the movers.

OMG, Sparky. SO cute. And in beautiful shape! And a 1920s bungalow! I am way jealous of whoever gets to live there next.

Wow, that house is super cute!

One of my favorite features of that house is what I call the "Alice door" -- it's a 3/4 size door to one of the bedrooms under the roof line. I wish we could buy it, but until my DH has an income we cannot even think about it.

Okay, I am off to make like a squeaky wheel at the HR office so I can get signed up for all my benefits -- they've been putting me off for 2 weeks.
