Also, I didn't mean to imply that because she's psychologist that she is all knowing of all things goth and stuff. I just meant that cause she's one, she would know what a cutter is in terms of self-injury and would have been all over that shit if her son said that he was one or a friend of his was.
::hopes this removes leg from mouth::
GC, consider the argument that Google should not be the gatekeeper of the world's information (it's been the job of libraries/librarians/universities -- have we failed?)
Coffee flirting is good, vw!
My DH took the computer with him when he went to KC this week and thus dashed my hopes of becoming a contributing Bitch this week during my evening hours.

I didn't take it that way at all, sweetie. Like I said, this is a HUGE HUGE hot button for me.
vw, I think flirting and chatting over coffee would be good as a date. But, much like Plei, I haven't been on one in over a decade.
IO(tangent-y)N, my motivation for getting any work done just ran away, because someone gave me the YouTube link for the new MCR video that premiered in the UK last night. Editing? What editing? Must watch arty mopey video over and over!
It sounds to me like Aimee's friend's son is throwing around terms he doesn't know the meaning of and then snowing his mother into thinking he's got arcane knowledge rather than ignorance.
Yay, date! Provisionally, because you never know with dates, but having someone you know think someone else would like you, that's pretty cool.

Whew. Ok.
shakes it off
I left her a message to get better clarification on what she thinks she meant.
... and ND, if you're reading this, I spent 8+ years as an academic in the UC system. There's no way they could get a job offer out in 2 weeks -- its just the nature of the beast. Any offer will have to get the okay from the Dean, the Provost, the Budget committee, etc. Re-set your clock for a month (at least).

Exactly. It's kind of comforting. Or reassuring. Or something. This is the same girl who thinks I'm "really fun," so I have some hope of it following through.

Good one, Sparky! Thanks!

I was waiting for you and/or Rick to come around and back me up.
