You know, I've saved lives. Dozens. Maybe hundreds. I reattached a girl's leg. Her whole leg. She named her hamster after me. I got a hamster. He drops a box of money, he gets a town.

Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm taking advantage of the nice weather before it turns on us again. I'm also trying to build up my bike riding skills so I'm ready to ride the beach - a bit longer of a ride than I'm up to yet.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Poor Toto. Nora was so wise to stay home today. It was too cold to be outside today, especially if you're sick.

I did make it to my appointment, although I was 10 minutes late because I forgot that I had no gas in the car. After the Dr.'s appointment, I finally got new tires put on my car, which was badly needed and spent some time at Mom's school while I waited for the tires to be done. I was able to sneak into the kindergarten class for a bit. The kids are so cute!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I have whiplash. I had a truly shiteous conversation with my brother that has left me aghast. Then I got my review via email in which I was praised to the high heavens (I really needed that in my current apathetic state). I wish GF would come home now - I need to talk to her.

What is even happening?

I'm sorry, Gloomcookie. Concentrate on the review. Forget the brother, at least until after GF gets home.

How is her family doing?

They are still in a holding pattern. Her dad hasn't gotten sick but is having transfusions and treatment and is housebound so as not to catch a cold. It is a frustrating situation. Seems like my whole life is a frustrating situation at the moment, eh? Thanks for the kind words on LJ :)

I hate when that happens. I'm glad you got the good words about your job, though. Knowing your boss is happy with you is a good thing, even if you're in the market to change your career path.

You take it easy, sweetie.

So, S is home from the hospital.

And some nice person in the hospital got me sick. I have a mild fever (about 100.5), and all day while we were waiting for the doctors to finally release her, I was getting achier and achier and feeling crappier and crappier.

By the time we finally got home and took my temperature, I knew I was going to have a fever.

I just slept for two hours and sweated out half a lake into our bed.

Thank you Sick Person, wherever you are. I hate you.

Hey. New board.

Dave Matthews is playing an idiot (musical) savant on House tonight.

They got it half right.

(I actually like Dave Matthews, but seriously, what?)
