No, it means ita's not-boyfriend stands over you and makes you eat sensible food.
Nutella is sensible. But then so is sushi.
WTF? Where are my Joy Division and Cramps videos?
I think there are music channels that do cater to you. It's a matter of finding them. And then watching long enough that you see the thing you want to see. Bless Tivo that this is less traumatic than it used to be. Damn, now I want Joy Division. Here iPod, iPod...
Rantycrumpets - and with the Speed Channel? It's not that NASCAR is my race fandom of choice but its popularity means that the things I really do care about are shown as well. And that makes me happy. Mmm, crumpets.
The specialization among channels is spectacular though. I don't get the pay channels and I think I have about 700. Of which I watch less than 20. I know Speed, all of the Discovery channels (including the Military channel), BBCA, SciFi, the networks... I should see what else is out there.
This morning's horrible dream that woke me was the regularly re-run classic, Christopher is Missing.
And I specifically requested
It was Square and White and Looked Like a Tooth.
That's a good idea Cindy. I think freezing it will be.
I feel so culinary.
You know, a rum frosting might taste good on eggnog cookies, too.
I always mean to try to make french toast with eggnog and eggs, instead of milk and eggs, but then I get greedy and drink all the eggnog.
And I specifically requested It was Square and White and Looked Like a Tooth.
That was much less scary than, "WHERE'S CHRIS?!?!?" but it was heart-rate raising at the time, and we already had the Julia-ate-glass dream this week. How about something more mundane, like the dream about falling asleep holding one of them, as infants (er...without the side-dream of dropping one of them).
but it was heart-rate raising at the time
Very true. It's just in reruns? That one is hilarious to me. Because I know how it ends already.
How about we stop the bad and terrifying dreams altogether and you just dream of daffodils and puppies instead?
Culinary question. Someone gave us some homemade pear butter, which is good - but which we find way sweeter than we like. I thinking maybe there is some sort of cookie or cake, or pastry or sweetbread recipe we could use it as the main sweetener for, and have the delicious flavor without the overwhelming sweetness. Any suggestions?
Gronk, and wah. So much for my 4-day weekend. So much for our trip to Thessaloniki. I had to go in to work all day Friday, half of Saturday, and all day today.
I'm burnt out and the week hasn't even started yet.
Gar, I wonder if it would be good spread on the skin of chicken you were going to roast or bake. You could doctor it -- add some salt, maybe, to cut the sweet.
I don't know about baking, hmmm. If you had a recipe for a pretty plain sugar cookie, one that took butter, it might be good in something like that.
eta...Poor Raq.
There are apple butter and applesauce cakes and breads, so pear would probably work. The cakes are usually some variation on spice cake.
Oh, and applecakes ARE delicious so I'm sure that pear cake would be too.
You could also try the pear butter on something with a lot of flavor and saltiness, like pumpernickel bread.
Exhaustion just hit me. I have an ironed quilt top and back lying on my bed, so I can't lie down. Waaaaaaaaa...
